Sec. 22-118l. Manufacture and distribution of feed regulated. (a) No person
shall manufacture a commercial feed in this state unless he has filed with the Commissioner of Agriculture on forms provided by the commissioner, his name, place of business and location of each manufacturing facility in this state.
(c) The commissioner may refuse registration of any commercial feed not in compliance with the provisions of sections 22-118k to 22-118v, inclusive, and cancel any registration subsequently found not to be in compliance with any provision of said sections provided no registration shall be refused or canceled unless the registrant is given an opportunity to be heard before the commissioner and to amend his application in order to comply with the requirements of sections 22-118k to 22-118v, inclusive.

History: P.A. 98-69 effective July 1, 1998; June 30 Sp. Sess. P.A. 03-6 replaced Commissioner of Agriculture with Commissioner of Agriculture and Consumer Protection, effective July 1, 2004; P.A. 04-189 repealed Sec. 146 of June 30 Sp. Sess. P.A. 03-6, thereby reversing the merger of the Departments of Agriculture and Consumer Protection, effective June 1, 2004.
