Sec. 13a-113. Drawbridges to have gates. The approaches to all drawbridges over
which highways pass shall be provided, by the town or towns or owners of such bridges,
with gates for the protection of travelers, subject to the approval of the selectmen of the
town or towns in which such bridge or bridges may be located. Each bridge tender shall
insure closure of such gates before the draw is opened. Any bridge tender who violates
the provisions of this section shall be fined not more than fifty dollars.
