Article 13. Enforcement of Music Copyrights
Section 6-13-102. Scope of article.

(1) (a) This article 13 applies only to the following:

  1. A contract entered into between a performing rights society and a proprietor; and

  2. Investigations and negotiations related to a contract or prospective contract betweena performing rights society and a proprietor.

(b) The rights, remedies, and prohibitions accorded by this article 13 are in addition to any other right, remedy, or prohibition accorded by common law, federal law, or the laws of this state and do not deny, abrogate, or impair any such common-law or statutory right, remedy, or prohibition.

(2) This article shall not apply to:

  1. A contract entered into between a performing rights society and a broadcaster licensed by the federal communications commission;

  2. Conduct described in sections 18-4-602, 18-4-603, and 18-4-604, C.R.S.
