Article 19. Debt-Management Services
Section 5-19-225. Voidable agreements.

Universal Citation: CO Rev Stat § 5-19-225 (2020)

(a) If a provider imposes a fee or other charge or receives money or other payments not authorized by section 5-19-223 or 5-19-224, the individual may void the agreement and recover as provided in section 5-19-235.

  1. If a provider is not registered as required by this part 2 when an individual assents toan agreement, the agreement is voidable by the individual.

  2. If an individual voids an agreement under subsection (b) of this section, the providerdoes not have a claim against the individual for breach of contract or for restitution.
