Article 40. Geothermal Heat Suppliers
Section 40-40-102. Legislative declaration.

The general assembly hereby declares that geothermal heat is a valuable, indigenous resource, the development of which will enhance local economies, and that it is in the public interest of the state to promote the development of geothermal heat supply systems. Therefore, it is the policy of this state to remove the barriers to such development which might result from the imposition of comprehensive regulation by the public utilities commission.
