All storage of fireworks shall be in accordance with the building and fire codes adopted by the governing body. If the governing body has not adopted a fire code, all storage of fireworks shall be in accordance with the fire code adopted by the director of the division of fire prevention and control within the department of public safety pursuant to section 24-33.5-1203.5.

Editor's note: This section is similar to former § 12-28-108 as it existed prior to 2017. 24-33.5-2009. Seizure of fireworks. The local authorities shall seize, take, and remove, at the expense of the owner, all stocks of fireworks, including permissible fireworks, offered or exposed for sale, stored, or held in violation of this part 20.
