Article 32. Department of Local Affairs
Section 24-32-707. Powers of board.

(1) The board shall have the following powers:

  1. To advise the general assembly, the governor, and the division on housing matters;

  2. To establish uniform construction and maintenance standards for hotels, motels, andmultiple dwellings in those areas of the state where no such standards exist; and for factory-built housing;

  3. To develop and submit to the general assembly and units of local government recommendations for uniform housing standards and building codes;

  4. To conduct examinations and investigations and to take testimony and proof underoath at hearings;

  5. Through the division of housing, to act as agent for local governmental and privatenonprofit entities in connection with federal, state, and local public and private nonprofit housing programs;

  6. (Deleted by amendment, L. 99, p. 440, § 4, effective August 4, 1999.)

  7. To promulgate rules and regulations establishing income limits for the determinationof what constitutes a low- or moderate-income family pursuant to section 24-32-717 (4)(b).

  8. and (i) Repealed.

  1. The board shall serve in an advisory capacity to the state housing finance authority,created by part 7 of article 4 of title 29, C.R.S., and shall provide information as to the need for development of housing facilities for low- and moderate-income families in Colorado.
