Article 5. Judicial Districts
Section 13-5-103. Second district.

(1) The second judicial district shall be composed of the city and county of Denver.

(2) (a) The number of judges for the second judicial district shall be nineteen. Effective January 1, 1978, the number of judges shall be twenty.

  1. Subject to available appropriations, effective July 1, 2008, the number of judges forthe second judicial district shall be twenty-one.

  2. Subject to available appropriations, effective July 1, 2009, the number of judges forthe second judicial district shall be twenty-three.

  3. Subject to available appropriations, effective July 1, 2019, the number of judges forthe second judicial district is twenty-five.

  4. Subject to available appropriations, effective January 1, 2020, the number of judgesfor the second judicial district is twenty-seven.
