Article 220. Dentists and Dental Hygienists
Section 12-220-210. Use or sale of forged or invalid diploma, license, license renewal certificate, or identification.

(1) (a) It is unlawful for any person to use or attempt to use:

  1. As the person's own a diploma from a dental college or school or school of dentalhygiene, or a license or license renewal certificate, that was issued or granted to another person; or

  2. A forged diploma, license, license renewal certificate, or identification.

(b) It is also unlawful for any person to file with the board a forged document in response to a request by the board for documentation of an applicant's qualifications for licensure.

(2) It is unlawful to sell or offer to sell a diploma conferring a dental or dental hygiene degree or a license or license renewal certificate granted pursuant to this article 220 or prior dental practice laws, or to procure such diploma or license or license renewal certificate:

  1. With the intent that it be used as evidence of the right to practice dentistry or dentalhygiene by a person other than the one upon whom it was conferred or to whom the license or license renewal certificate was granted; or

  2. With fraudulent intent to alter the document and use or attempt to use it when it is soaltered.
