§ 24-33.5-427. Colorado bureau of investigation grants and donations fund

The department is authorized to seek, accept, and expend grants or donations from private or public sources for the purposes of this part 4; except that the department may not seek, accept, or expend a grant or donation that is subject to conditions that are inconsistent with this part 4 or any other law of the state. The department shall transmit all private and public moneys received through grants or donations to the state treasurer, who shall credit the same to the Colorado bureau of investigation grants and donations fund, which fund is hereby created and referred to in this section as the "fund". The moneys in the fund are subject to annual appropriation by the general assembly to the department for the purposes of this part 4. The state treasurer shall credit all interest derived from the deposit and investment of moneys in the fund to the fund. At the end of any fiscal year, all unexpended and unencumbered moneys in the fund remain therein and shall not be credited or transferred to the general fund or any other fund. Moneys received pursuant to this section are not subject to the provisions of part 13 of article 75 of this title.
