§ 39-28.8-604. Proposition AA refund account - restricted revenues

(1) The proposition AA refund account is created in the general fund. The account consists of twenty-seven million seven hundred thousand dollars from the moneys transferred from the marijuana tax cash fund in accordance with section 39-28.8-501 (4) (b) and another thirty million three hundred thousand dollars from the general fund. The moneys in the account are restricted from use until January 1, 2016, and are not included in the year-end balance required by section 24-75-201.1 (1) (d) (XIV), C.R.S.

(2) If a proposition AA blue book refund is not required under section 39-28.8-602, then on January 1, 2016, the account is repealed and the state treasurer shall transfer twenty-seven million seven hundred thousand dollars from the account back to the marijuana tax cash fund. The remaining thirty million three hundred thousand dollars shall remain in the general fund and be available for appropriation.
