§ 27-81-115. Emergency service patrol - establishment - rules

(1) The unit and cities, counties, city and counties, and regional service authorities may establish emergency service patrols. A patrol consists of persons trained to give assistance in the streets and in other public places to persons who are intoxicated or incapacitated by alcohol. Members of an emergency service patrol shall be capable of providing first aid in emergency situations and shall be authorized to transport a person intoxicated or incapacitated by alcohol to his or her home and to and from treatment facilities.

(2) The director shall adopt rules for the establishment, training, and conduct of emergency service patrols.
