§ 14-10-107.5. Entry of appearance to establish support

(1) The attorney for the county department of social services may file an entry of appearance on behalf of the department in any proceeding for dissolution of marriage or legal separation under this article for purposes of establishing, modifying, and enforcing child support and medical support if any party is receiving support enforcement services pursuant to section 26-13-106, C.R.S., and for purposes of establishing and enforcing reimbursement of payments for temporary assistance to needy families.

(2) The county department of social services, upon the filing of the entry of appearance described in subsection (1) of this section or upon the filing of a legal pleading to establish, modify, or enforce the support obligation, shall be from that date forward, without leave or order of court, a third-party intervenor in the action for the purposes outlined in subsection (1) of this section without the necessity of filing a motion to intervene.
