§ 12-9-113. Enforcement
It is the duty of all sheriffs and police officers to enforce the provisions of this article, to receive complaints, to initiate investigations, and to arrest and complain against any person violating any provisions of this article. It is the duty of the district attorney of the respective districts of this state to prosecute all violations of this article in the manner and form as is now provided by law for the prosecutions of crimes and misdemeanors, and it is a violation of this article for any such person knowingly to fail to perform his duty under this section.
