2287. Whenever the commissioner determines that it is necessary to more effectively or more efficiently carry out a program listed in subdivision (b) of Section 2282, the commissioner may enter into a mutual aid agreement with other counties for the purpose of sharing staff, equipment, expertise, information, and other resources necessary to meet the needs of the program.
