1272. A clinical laboratory shall participate in a state-approved proficiency testing program and demonstrate satisfactory performance in all of the laboratory specialities that include tests performed in the laboratory. Proficiency shall be tested in the following specialties: microbiology, serology, clinical chemistry, hematology, cytology, and immunohematology.
