The appointed members of the board shall receive a per diem to be determined by the chairperson, but not less than the usual per diem rate allowed to the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation employees during travel out of state. All members, including the chairperson, shall also receive their actual and necessary expenses of travel incurred in attending meetings of the commission and in making investigations, either as a board or individually as members of the board at the request of the chairperson. All the expenses shall be paid from the Prison Industries Revolving Fund.
