Section 3097


CA Labor Code § 3097 (through 2012 Leg Sess) What's This?

The Department of Industrial Relations, Division of Apprenticeship Standards, may cooperate in the provision of, or provide, services to the Employment Development Department, and to service delivery areas, as designated pursuant to the Job Training Partnership Act (P.L. 97-300, and Division 8 commencing with Section 15000 of the Unemployment Insurance Code). The Department of Industrial Relations, Division of Apprenticeship Standards may enter into any agreements as may be necessary for this purpose.

The Division of Apprenticeship Standards shall exert maximum effort to persuade sponsors of its registered, nonfederally funded, voluntary apprenticeship and on-the-job training programs to accept to the maximum possible extent the eligible persons as described in the Job Training Partnership Act (P.L. 97-300) and Division 8 (commencing with Section 15000) of the Unemployment Insurance Code.
