Section 8790.10
The Employment Development Department, the Employment Training Panel, and the local Job Training Partnership Act service delivery area, and the local community colleges shall, to the extent funds are available, cooperate to develop and provide appropriate training programs for local workers for the construction and operation of the Superconducting Super Collider project. Preference shall be given to the hiring of qualified local workers. Workers who are displaced due to the project shall, if eligible, be targeted for training through the Employment Training Panel or the Job Training Partnership Act. These programs shall be funded in the annual Budget Act.
