Section 67051.1


CA Food & Agri Code § 67051.1 (through 2012 Leg Sess) What's This?

Notwithstanding Section 67051, any handler that handles 30 percent or more of the volume of avocados in the preceding marketing season, as annually determined by the secretary, may appoint one handler member to the commission. All other handlers shall nominate and elect the remaining handler members pursuant to this chapter. Any handler appointed to the commission pursuant to this section shall maintain his or her eligibility under this section during the entire term of office. Any vacancy caused by the ineligibility of the handler shall be filled in accordance with Section 67053.
