HEALTH AND SAFETY CODE
SECTION 24275



24275.  (a) The State Department of Health Services, in conjunction
with the study required pursuant to Chapter 116 of the Statutes of
1986, shall report to the Legislature by January 1, 1987, and
periodically thereafter, on the most effective air monitoring
standard for the airborne concentration of asbestos in any public
school building that is both economically and technologically
feasible. If the department believes that the air monitoring standard
for asbestos in public school buildings as specified in Section
49410.7 of the Education Code should be revised, it shall promulgate
a regulation to that effect.
   (b) The department shall provide the Office of Public School
Construction with appropriate sampling methodology for use in taking
air samples in public school buildings.
