Chapter 13. Recording Certification Of Foreign Births And Deaths

SECTION 103501-103505
103501. A county recorder shall issue a certified copy of a foreign birth or death recorded in the office of the county recorder only as an official record of the county recorder, as defined in subdivision (a) of Section 27300 of the Government Code, and not as a certified copy of a vital record pursuant to Chapter 14 (commencing with Section 103525) of Part 1 of Division 102. 103505. (a) A certification of birth or death outside of the United States shall not be recorded by the county recorder. (b) This section shall not apply to any court-order-delayed birth certificate or court-order-delayed death certificate issued pursuant to Chapter 12 (commencing with Section 103450) of Part 1 of Division 102.
