Article 2. Director And Employees

BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONS CODE
SECTION 305-307



305.  The director shall administer and enforce the provisions of
this chapter. Every power granted or duty imposed upon the director
under this chapter may be exercised or performed in the name of the
director by a deputy or assistant director or the chief of the
department's Division of Consumer Services, subject to such
conditions and limitations as the director may prescribe.



306.  The director, in accordance with the State Civil Service Act,
may appoint and fix the compensation of such clerical or other
personnel as may be necessary to carry out the provisions of this
chapter. All such personnel shall perform their respective duties
under the supervision and the direction of the director.




307.  The director may contract for the services of experts and
consultants where necessary to carry out the provisions of this
chapter and may provide compensation and reimbursement of expenses
for such experts and consultants in accordance with state law.
