2009 California Insurance Code - Section 150-151 :: Article 1. Parties To The Contract: Generally

INSURANCE CODE
SECTION 150-151 

150.  Any person capable of making a contract may be an insurer,
subject to the restrictions imposed by this code.

151.  Any person except a public enemy may be insured.
