HEALTH AND SAFETY CODESECTION 116100-116108
116100. As used in Article 5 (commencing with Section 116185) of Chapter 2, "department" means the State Department of Health Services. 116102. "Place," as used in Article 3 (commencing with Section 116125) of Chapter 2 and Section 116250, includes land, place, building, structure, wharf, pier, dock, vessel, or water craft. 116104. "Rodents," as used in Article 3 (commencing with Section 116125) of Chapter 2 and Section 116250, means rats, mice, gophers, and ground squirrels. 116106. "Possess," as used in Article 3 (commencing with Section 116125) of Chapter 2 and Section 116250, includes control, own, lease, occupy, possess, or have charge of or dominion over. 116108. "Vector," as used in Article 1 (commencing with Section 116110) of, and Article 2 (commencing with Section 116120) of Chapter 2, and Section 106925, means any animal capable of transmitting the causative agent of human disease or capable of producing human discomfort or injury, including, but not limited to, mosquitoes, flies, other insects, ticks, mites, and rats.
