2009 California Government Code - Section 6599.21-6599.23 :: Article 2. Amounts Of Insurance

SECTION 6599.21-6599.23

6599.21.  The authority may only cover risks to the extent that
liability on any one occurrence exceeds one million dollars
($1,000,000), and may not provide coverage for any amount of
liability on any one occurrence which exceeds twenty-five million
dollars ($25,000,000).

6599.22.  The authority may establish limits on coverage for a
member or category of members, but those limits may neither be less
than the minimum nor more than the maximum limits established by
Section 6599.21.

6599.23.  A local agency requesting membership from the authority
may request coverage in any sum, so long as the coverage requested is
neither less than the minimum nor more than the maximum limits
established by Section 6599.21.
