SECTION 79567-79568



79567.  The sum of twenty million dollars (,000,000) shall be
available for appropriation by the Legislature from the fund to the
department for grants for canal lining and related projects necessary
to reduce Colorado River water use pursuant to the California
Colorado River Water Use Plan adopted by the Colorado River Board of
California.



79568.  (a) The sum of fifty million dollars (,000,000) shall be
available for appropriation by the Legislature from the fund to the
Wildlife Conservation Board for the acquisition, protection, and
restoration of land and water resources necessary to meet state
obligations for regulatory requirements related to California's
allocation of water supplies from the Colorado River. No money
allocated pursuant to this section may be used to supplant or pay for
the regulatory mitigation obligations of private parties under state
or federal law.
   (b) All real property acquired pursuant to this section shall be
acquired from willing sellers.
