SECTION 21130-21132



21130.  Every patrol member subject to Section 21362 or 21362.2, as
applicable, shall be retired on the first day of the calendar month
succeeding that in which he or she attains the age of 60 years.



21131.  Notwithstanding any other provision of law, a local
contracting agency may amend its contract to fix a mandatory
retirement age for local safety members attaining the age of 60 when
the agency also has established that the age of a safety member is a
bona fide occupational qualification reasonably necessary to the
normal operation of the principal services provided by safety
members.


21132.  Every state safety member shall be retired on the first day
of the calendar month succeeding that in which he or she attains age
65. Every member who has attained age 65 when he or she becomes a
state safety member shall be retired on the first day of the
following month.
   This section shall not apply to members represented by State
Bargaining Unit 16 or State Bargaining Unit 19.
