FOOD AND AGRICULTURAL CODE
SECTION 76650-76652



76650.  The director shall administer and enforce this chapter, and
may exercise any of the administrative powers which are conferred by
Sections 11180 to 11191, inclusive, of the Government Code upon a
head of a department.  In order to effectuate the declared purposes
of this chapter, the director may contract to carry out the declared
intent and purposes of this chapter.



76651.  Upon recommendation by the council, the director may adopt,
consistent with this chapter, any regulations which cover the
administration and enforcement of this chapter that may be necessary
to carry out the purposes and attain the objectives of this chapter,
except the director shall not engage in any salmon promotion activity
or pursue the purchase of allocation rights to harvest salmon
without the approval of a majority of the voting members of the
council.


76652.  Upon the adoption of any regulations under this chapter, a
copy of the regulations shall be posted on a bulletin board which
shall be maintained by the director in his or her office.  No
regulation shall become effective until five days after the date of
that posting and mailing.  The director shall mail a copy of the
notice of the issuance of the regulations to every marketing
association and every receiver that is directly affected by the
regulations whose name and address may be on file in the office of
the director and to every person who files in the office of the
director a written request for that notice.
