SECTION 9820-9823

9820.  The personal representative may:
   (a) Commence and maintain actions and proceedings for the benefit
of the estate.
   (b) Defend actions and proceedings against the decedent, the
personal representative, or the estate.
9822.  The personal representative may bring an action on the bond
of any former personal representative of the same estate, for the use
and benefit of all interested persons.
9823.  (a) If the decedent leaves an undivided interest in any
property, an action for partition of the property may be brought
against the personal representative.
   (b) The personal representative may bring an action against the
other cotenants for partition of any property in which the decedent
left an undivided interest.
