HEALTH AND SAFETY CODE
SECTION 19150

19150.  Every building or structure and every portion thereof shall
be designed and constructed to resist stresses produced by lateral
forces as provided in the State Building Standards Code.  In areas
where the Division of Codes and Standards of the Department of
Housing and Community Development is the enforcement agency, plumbing
and electrical equipment and installations shall be subject to
building standards published in the State Building Standards Code and
the other rules and regulations adopted pursuant to Sections 17921
and 17922 of this code.
