2005 California Health and Safety Code Sections 11875-11876 Article 3. Narcotic Treatment Programs

HEALTH AND SAFETY CODE
SECTION 11875-11876

11875.  The following controlled substances are authorized for use
in replacement narcotic therapy by licensed narcotic treatment
programs:
   (a) Methadone.
   (b) Levoalphacetylmethadol (LAAM) as specified in paragraph (10)
of subdivision (c) of Section 11055.
   (c) Buprenorphine products or combination products approved by the
federal Food and Drug Administration for maintenance or
detoxification of opoid dependence.
   (d) Any other federally approved controlled substances used for
the purpose of narcotic replacement treatment.
11876.  The department shall inspect programs dispensing controlled
substances described in subdivision (c) of Section 11875 to ensure
that the programs are operating in compliance with applicable federal
statutes and regulations, including the provisions of Part 8 of
Title 42 of the Code of Federal Regulations.
