2005 California Education Code Sections 48640-48642 Article 2. Opportunity Schools

SECTION 48640-48642

48640.  Opportunity schools established pursuant to this article by
the county board of education shall be limited to counties which have
an average daily attendance of less than 8,000.
48641.  An opportunity school established by a county board of
education in a county which has an average daily attendance of less
than 8,000 shall be deemed to be in lieu of any continuation
education program, and shall excuse the school districts within the
county from complying with otherwise applicable statutes requiring
the establishment of continuation education schools.
48642.  Sections 48630, 48631, 48632, 48633, 48634, 48635, 48636,
48637, 48637.1, 48637.2, 48637.3, 48638, and 48639, and this section,
shall become inoperative on July 1, 2005, and, as of January 1,
2006, are repealed, unless a later enacted statute that is enacted
before January 1, 2006, deletes or extends the dates on which these
sections become inoperative and are repealed.
