§ 12-12-320. Autopsies — Removal of pituitary gland

Universal Citation: AR Code § 12-12-320 (2020)
  1. (a) The State Medical Examiner and his or her assistants may remove the pituitary gland during the course of an autopsy and donate the pituitary gland to an appropriate organization.

  2. (b) However, the pituitary gland shall not be removed under the authority of this section if the next of kin or the person having the right to control the disposition of the decedent's remains objects.
