§ 16-93-109. Medicaid reimbursement for essential healthcare services

Unless otherwise prohibited by law, the Department of Human Services shall cooperate with the Department of Correction and the Department of Community Correction to establish protocols for utilizing Medicaid to reimburse the Department of Correction, Department of Community Correction, Division of Aging, Adult, and Behavioral Health Services of the Department of Human Services, Division of Youth Services of the Department of Human Services, a healthcare provider, or a third party for essential healthcare services, including mental health and substance abuse treatment.
