§ 6-61-524 - Agreements for sharing of facilities, personnel, and services.

(a) Community colleges established under the authority of Arkansas Constitution, Amendment 52 and the laws enacted pursuant thereto, are authorized, upon application, review, and approval thereof by the State Community College Board, to enter into agreements with any postsecondary educational institution, or with agencies or institutions of this state, of any city or county, or of the federal government for the sharing of facilities, personnel, or services or the providing and furnishing of services for such duration and under such conditions and financial arrangements therefor as are not inconsistent with the purposes for which the community colleges are established.

(b) In addition to the powers enumerated in this subchapter, it is the specific intention of ยงยง 6-61-101 -- 6-61-103, 6-61-201 -- 6-61-209, 6-61-211 [repealed], 6-61-212 -- 6-61-216, 6-61-301 -- 6-61-305, 6-61-306 [repealed], 6-61-401, 6-61-402, 6-61-501 -- 6-61-524, 6-61-601 -- 6-61-603, and 6-61-604 -- 6-61-612 [repealed] to authorize community colleges, upon application, review, and approval by the State Community College Board, to enter into agreements with the State Board of Workforce Education and Career Opportunities for the sharing of facilities, personnel, and services of vocational and technical schools of this state whereby, at a single location, community college instruction, including vocational and technical training, may be offered. The agreements shall include means of financing the sharing of such facilities, personnel, or services, provided, that the community college and the vocational and technical school shall each receive financial support in the manner provided by law.
