§ 28-49-105 - Recovery for property embezzled or converted.
28-49-105. Recovery for property embezzled or converted.If any person embezzles or converts to his or her own use any of the personal property of a decedent before the appointment of a personal representative, the person shall be liable to the estate for the value of the property so embezzled or converted. No person shall be charged as executor de son tort.
