36-2002. Interagency coordinating council; members; meetings; duties; expiration

A. There shall be an interagency coordinating council with the assistant commissioner of addictive behavior services serving as chairman. The coordinating council members shall be composed of, but not limited to the following officers or their designated representatives:

1. The superintendent of public instruction.

2. The commissioner of the department of health.

3. The director of the department of corrections.

4. The commissioner of the department of public welfare.

5. The director of the department of public safety.

6. The director of the division of vocational rehabilitation.

7. The superintendent of the Arizona state hospital.

8. The director of the Arizona justice planning agency.

9. The dean of the university of Arizona medical school.

10. A judge of the superior court, who shall be appointed by the governor.

B. The council may request the governor to appoint representatives from other agencies not prescribed in subsection A of this section.

C. The council shall meet bimonthly or more frequently at the call of the chairman.

D. The council shall coordinate and otherwise assist in the implementation of the department programs for drug abuse control and perform such other related duties as the chairman may request or assign.

E. The council shall expire on July 1, 1973.
