23-524. Investigative powers of commission A. A commissioner or deputy of the commission may at any reasonable time enter the place of business of an employment agent for the purpose of examining the records or registers kept by the employment agent and bring to the attention of the agent any law, rule or regulation as promulgated by the advisory council, or failure on the part of the employment agent to comply therewith. An employment agent shall not refuse admittance to a commissioner or deputy of the commission to the agent's place of business. B. An employment agent receiving from the commission forms calling for information required by the commission in carrying out the provisions of this article, with directions to complete them, shall answer fully and correctly each question therein propounded, and if unable to answer any question, shall give a good and sufficient reason for such failure. All such answers shall be verified by two witnesses, and returned to the commission within the period fixed by the commission. |
