23-522.02 Council powers and duties

23-522.02. Council powers and duties The council shall: 1. Inquire into the needs of the employment agency industry, and make such recommendations as may be deemed important and necessary for the welfare of the state, public health, and welfare and progress of the employment agency industry. 2. Confer and advise with the industrial commission and the director in regard to how the employment agents may best serve the state, the public and the employment agency industry. 3. Approve any rules and regulations which may be adopted, amended or repealed by the industrial commission. 4. Collect such necessary information and data as the director may deem necessary to the proper administration of this article. 5. Consider and make recommendations to the industrial commission and director with respect to all matters relating to employment agencies in the state, including, but not limited to applicants for licenses and complaints against agencies. 6. Conduct research, as the council deems necessary, on matters pertaining to the operation and conduct of employment agencies and related matters in the state. 7. Publish findings and make such recommendations as the council may deem necessary to the governor, the industrial commission and the director. |
