2005 Arizona Revised Statutes - Revised Statutes §41-1514  Advisory committee on recycled materials markets

A. The department shall establish an advisory committee comprised of at least ten members with equal representation from the public and private sectors to:

1. Develop markets inside the state for products made from recycled and post-consumer materials.

2. Explore the market potential outside the state for products made from recycled and post-consumer materials.

3. Link sources of recycled and post-consumer materials with manufacturers of products made from those materials.

B. The committee shall make an annual report to the legislature and the governor which includes:

1. A general description of the existing recycled materials markets in this state.

2. Recommendations to increase the demand for recycled materials and develop post-consumer markets for recycled materials.

3. Recommendations for state and local policies which will provide for the procurement of products manufactured from recycled materials.

4. Recommendations for incentives to promote the use of post-consumer materials and other recovered resources.
