2005 Arizona Revised Statutes - Revised Statutes §28-950  Department authority; lighting devices

A. The department may:

1. Approve or disapprove lighting devices, adopt rules and enforce rules and specifications for the approval of the lighting devices and the installation and aiming of the devices within the standards prescribed in this article.

2. Determine the procedure to be followed when a device is submitted for approval.

B. The department shall:

1. Within a reasonable time after the device is submitted, approve or disapprove a lighting device that is of a type for which approval is required by this article.

2. On approving a lamp or device, issue to the applicant a certificate of approval together with any instructions determined by the department.

3. Publish lists of all lamps and devices by name and type that the department approves.
