TITLE 44 STATE GOVERNMENT
Chapter 44.19
Section 44.19.102 COMPOSITION AND APPOINTMENT.

(a) The governor shall appoint not less than 25 nor more than 60 persons to serve on the commission. In appointing members of the commission, the governor shall seek the broadest possible representation for all Alaskans, giving due consideration to geographical area. Each appointee shall have been a resident of Alaska for at least five years preceding the date of appointment.

(b) Legislators are eligible for appointment to this commission.

(c) Any organization may submit names of persons eligible for appointment to this commission. The governor shall give consideration to those persons and to the extent possible the commission shall be representative of all rural areas in Alaska.
