Section 15-13-209

Licensing violations.

(a) Except as otherwise provided in this article, it shall be unlawful for any individual to act as a professional bondsman or recovery agent without first obtaining a license from the board, but a professional surety bondsman shall obtain a license from the Department of Insurance and shall comply with all licensing requirements issued by the Department of Insurance.

(b) A violation of subsection (a) is a Class A misdemeanor.

(c) Each individual licensed in accordance with this article shall designate to the board a physical address where his or her records are to be kept.
