Section 32-2-8.1Fee for criminal history records search. When the Director of Public Safety is allowed by Alabama law to provide a criminal history records search of convictions within the State of Alabama, the director shall set and collect a minimum fee of $20.00 or the actual cost incurred. All fees collected under the provisions of this section shall be deposited in the State Treasury to the credit of the State General Fund.
