Section 29-8-2Compensation of council, director and assistants.

(a) The members of the Governing Council of the Alabama Law Institute shall serve without any compensation for services as such. The council may pay honoraria to members of the State Bar who perform professional services for the institute, as authorized by the council.

(b) The Legislative Council shall appoint the director upon the recommendation of the governing council.
