Section 16-56-9Board of trustees - Payment of expenses. The certificate of the chancellor as secretary of the board shall entitle the several trustees to the payment of their actual expenses incurred in the discharge of their duties as trustees. A trustee may not receive any pay or emoluments other than for actual expenses incurred in the discharge of duties of the board.
