Section 11-99A-16Exemptions of district - Usury and interest laws. The rate of interest borne by the assessments shall be exempt from all usury laws or laws prescribing or restricting the rate of interest. Each district organized under this chapter is exempt from the laws of the State of Alabama governing usury or prescribing or limiting interest rates, including, without limitation, the provisions of Chapter 8 of Title 8.
