Section 22-12B-1Established; purpose. There is hereby established the Alabama Mothers and Babies Indigent Care Trust Fund in the State Treasury for the purpose of providing for expansion of medical services available to needy pregnant women and children under the Medicaid Program through implementation of Section 9401 of the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1986 (Pub. L. 99-509) and for other expansions of the Medicaid Program which are or become feasible.
