Section 40-12-292Replacement of defaced, lost or destroyed plates or tags. Should any license plates or tags issued pursuant to this division be defaced, lost or destroyed, the owner may apply for a replacement in the same manner as prescribed by law for the replacement of regular motor vehicle license plates and tags.
